Koala Hostel, Feedback

Unfortunately, I was only in Arequipa for one night, but Koalas seemed like it was a good place. The staff was friendly and helpful (if a little difficult to locate sometimes - go outside and ring the doorbell and they\'ll come out of hiding!); there was a movie room with heaps of movies to choose from; book exchange; common areas where you could meet other people, etc. I stayed in a private, so I don\'t know what the shared facilities were like. My room was very clean. They have a laundry service as well, and the most important thing to me - WiFi! Yay for internets! All hostels should have it, as far as I\'m concerned. The location was just a few blocks from the main square, and was fairly easy to walk to and from. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we have experienced in S America. We had a small medical emergency and they were wonderful.

Fun hostel for meeting people. Ping pong table, patios, laundry lines, tv room, internet and kitchen. Basic accommodations and hot water. English spoken. Improvements to come. Fresh fruit at breakfast.

The Hostel was really good! The most helpful staffs and the organization is complete, the rooms are really clean, comfortable atmosphere and a great selection of movies. The breakfast is very good too with fruit available. I highly recommend this hostel if you are staying in Arequipa.

The family that run Koala are lovely so helpful and they have a hostel in a fantastic location. The breakfast is really good too with fruit available. I really hope their hostel becomes very successful. I would recommend that they ensure the water in the showers is hot and that the beds are more comfortable as these are the two things that travellers go to a hostel for and will recommend to others if they can take a hot shower and sleep in a comfortable bed. Nice place to stay overall.

Possibly the nicest people in Peru! Rooms are big and spacious and fairly priced. The location is in the centre of everything and around the corner from the bars and clubs. Recommended.

Never have I felt more welcome at any hostel I've stayed at before. The staff is really friendly and helpfull and the whole atmosphere at the hostel is fantastic. They arrange fun activities, and the location is just perfect and really close to the Plaza de Armas. The hostel has anything you need and more, and the facilities are unexpectedly good for such a nice-priced hostel. This is truely an undiscovered gem in Arequipa.
